At Old Plank Trail Community Bank, we love to participate in local celebrations, parades and other special events. We are proud to support and sponsor many local charitable and service organizations, and we also love to host events for our customers and our communities!
2014 Family Fun Days
Thank you to everyone who came out and made our 2014 annual Family Fun Days a success! During the months of June, July, August, and September, Old Plank Trail Community Bank hosted Family Fun Days at 10 of our locations. All of the events included free face painting, food, treats, games, and prizes. Some lucky events even had free hot dogs, visits from local fire and police departments, on-site radio broadcasts, and reptile shows! Although every event was different, our mission remained the same. That mission was to treat each community we serve with an afternoon of free and family-friendly fun as our way of saying, "Thanks!" We were proud to be a part of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life on Friday, July 11th, 2014. In addition to our bank’s Relay team, we also chaired the Entertainment Committee, and hosted bank night. It was a successful Relay and we were happy to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society!
From 6/2 through 8/28, every Thursday the Village of Shorewood has hosted family friendly movies and musical acts in the Village’s Towne Center Park. Shorewood Bank & Trust was present and participated in every event this year by serving snow cones and popcorn to the community. We are happy to be a part of something so great!
Come join us as we support our communities! As a bank, we have participated in the following parades: Plainfield Irish Parade, Lansing Good Neighbor Parade, New Lenox Loyalty Day Parade, South Holland Memorial Day Parade, Crete Memorial Day Parade, Orland Days Parade, Mokena’s 4th of July Parade, Steger’s Village Parade, Shorewood’s Crossroad’s Parade, Frankfort’s Fall Fest Parade, and Crete’s Country Christmas Parade
Big Amazing Race 2014
On Friday, July 25th, 2014, the bank participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties’ Big Amazing Race, a fundraising event patterned after the hit CBS Show, 'The Amazing Race.' The bank volunteered at the registration table, donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters, and even had a team of four to complete the mental and physical challenges at locations throughout downtown Joliet. The event was great fun and for a great cause, we are happy to continue our support for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
